Delicious spiced christmas margarita – a spiced cocktail for the holiday season recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • Tequila (Blanco or Reposado) 2 oz
  • Orange Liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec) 1 oz
  • Fresh Lime Juice 1 oz
  • Cranberry Juice 1 oz
  • Spiced Simple Syrup 1 oz (see instructions for making it below)
  • Orange slice, for garnish
  • Cinnamon stick, for garnish
  • Cranberries, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Step 1: **Make the Spiced Simple Syrup:** In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 2 cinnamon sticks, 4 whole cloves, and 2 star anise. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let it simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let steep for at least 30 minutes (or longer for a stronger spice flavor). Strain the syrup and discard the solids. Let cool completely before using.
  2. Step 2: **Prepare the Glass:** If desired, rim a margarita glass with cinnamon sugar or salt. You can do this by moistening the rim with a lime wedge and then dipping it into a shallow dish of your chosen rimming mixture.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, freeze cranberries and use them instead of ice cubes to avoid diluting the margarita.
  • Leftover spiced simple syrup can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week – perfect for more margaritas or spiced lattes.
  • Serve your Spiced Christmas Margarita in a sugarrimmed glass with a cinnamon stick and a few fresh cranberries for a beautiful, holidayready presentation.
  • Don't be afraid to adjust the steeping time of your spiced simple syrup to achieve your preferred intensity of holiday spice.
