Delicious club sandwich pasta salad – the ultimate make-ahead meal recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pasta, such as rotini or penne
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Step 3: Add the cooked pasta and crumbled bacon to the dressing. Stir gently to coat all ingredients evenly.
  4. Step 4: Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Step 5: Before serving, stir the pasta salad and add a little more milk if it seems dry. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • To prevent the pasta from drying out in the fridge, stir in a tablespoon or two of mayonnaise before storing.
  • Though best served cold, you can bring the salad to room temperature for about 15 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors.
  • Serve this pasta salad with a side of fresh avocado slices for added creaminess and healthy fats.
  • For an extra smoky flavor, use applewoodsmoked bacon and reserve a little to sprinkle on top just before serving.
