Ingredients
Scale
- Pasta (rotini, penne, or elbow macaroni) 1 pound
- Ground beef 1 pound
- BBQ sauce 1 cup
- Ranch dressing 1/2 cup
- Cheddar cheese, shredded 2 cups
- Onion, chopped 1/2 cup
- Olive oil 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
Instructions
- Step 1: Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Step 2: While pasta cooks, brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Step 3: Stir in BBQ sauce, ranch dressing, and garlic powder. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Step 4: Add cooked pasta to the skillet with the meat sauce. Stir to combine well.
- Step 5: Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the pasta mixture.
- Step 6: Cover the skillet and cook until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 2-3 minutes. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat individual portions in the microwave, adding a splash of milk or water if needed to keep the pasta from drying out.
- Garnish with chopped green onions or a dollop of sour cream for extra flavor and a pop of freshness.
- For a richer flavor, use a sharp cheddar cheese and consider adding a pinch of smoked paprika to the meat mixture.
