Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 package (8 count) large flour tortillas
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and brown sugar together until smooth and creamy.
- Step 2: Add the vanilla extract and milk, then beat until well combined.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, toss the diced apples with lemon juice and cinnamon.
- Step 4: Gently fold the apple mixture into the cream cheese mixture.
- Step 5: To make the cinnamon sugar chips, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges.
- Step 6: Spread the tortilla wedges on a baking sheet, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Serve the apple pie dip chilled or at room temperature with the cinnamon sugar chips.
Notes
- To prevent browning, press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the dip before refrigerating.
- For a warm and gooey dip, microwave it in 30second intervals, stirring in between, until heated through.
- Elevate your presentation by serving the dip in a hollowedout apple for a festive touch.
- Don't overbake the chips; they'll continue to crisp up as they cool, so take them out when they're just golden.
